Artist of the Month: When I Was Green (2025)

The Artist of the Month program by ABC Radio Sydney shines a spotlight on emerging visual artists. This month’s artwork features an illustration by Xanthe Muston on display in the 6 Parramatta Square Lobby.

Muston’s painting When I Was Green draws on personal memories of birthday parties with her triplet brothers, while also offering a playful reimagining of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. Through a blend of nostalgia and literary references, Xanthe explores the intersections of domestic life and the ever-changing natural world, capturing both the fragility of human relationships and the environment.
